Can Never Pick Just One...

Day Twenty-One: Your favorite song.

Right. I don't have a favorite song. I have a VIP area.

"The Greatest Show Unearthed" by Creature Feature

I love carnivals and circuses. Plus, this is the first song I ever heard by Creature Feature. To say I like it would be an understatement.

"What a Horrible Night to Have a Curse" by The Black Dahlia Murder

My cousin introduced me to this band, and the lyrics read like a horror movie. Whenever I'm feeling a bit down, this is one of the songs I turn to.

"Dull Boy" by Mudvayne

Have I mentioned that Mudvayne is my favorite band?

So Much Goose, We're Turning Into Geese!

Day Seventeen: A song that makes you want to dance.

You'll have to click on the link. No video today.

I'm not the biggest fan of Hollywood Undead per se, but, I am a girl. I have have my moments of dance.

There are also seems to be two versions of this song, and I actually like the other one better, but I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Might Bring Down My Whole Day

Day Sixteen: Your favorite depressing song.

"Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley and Alison Krauss

So sad.

And as an added bonus:

"Hurt" by Johnny Cash

I miss him.

Getcha Come On!

Day Fifteen: A song you love singing along to.

"Hellyeah" by HELLYEAH

"What's this song?"
"Hellyeah."
"By?"
"Hellyeah."
"Which album?"
"Hellyeah."
"Is it any good?"
"HELLYEAH!"

While they are leaning more towards southern rock, I still love the song. I went and saw HELLYEAH when they were in Dallas for the Uproar tour last fall, and they were pretty good live. I got some stuff signed, got to shake their hands, and even randomly got a guitar pick stuck to my chest. Fun times. Needless to say, I was content with going home right after that but had to see the rest of the bands play because of friends who were with me.

Spring Break Extra

CREATURE FEATURE CAME OUT WITH A NEW SONG!!!!!

I love Creature Feature. They are my second favorite band (quickly becoming my first, since band number one *cough* Mudvayne *cough cough* isn't together or recording at the moment). I have a soft spot for horror rock, and Creature Feature has been the best I have found so far. Their album The Greatest Show Unearthed is one of only three albums where I know every word to every song. If you like what you hear above, go buy this song here, on their Bandcamp page.

Back In the Day...

Day Ten: A song by your favorite band.

"Death Blooms" by Mudvayne

I... adore... Mudvayne. More than words can describe. I wish they would start recording again.

That is all.

Stand In the Corner

Day Nine: A song that makes you hopeful.

"Scream With Me" by Mudvayne

Because there's always someone out there who knows what you're going through.

Creature Core, You Can't Ignore

Day Eight: A song that reminds you of your "first love."

"I'm Your Boogieman" by White Zombie

Actually, I can't remember my first love, so I'll just leave you with an awesome White Zombie song.

I guess this is how I would like to remember my "first love"?

We Can If We Want To

Day Six: A song that reminds you of a friend.

"Kill Tomorrow" by Mushroomhead

A friend of mine loves this song for one reason, and as far as I know, one reason alone.

The childish giggles.

They make him giggle as well.

You Better Mark My Words

Day Five: A song that is often stuck in your head.

"The Impaler" by Winds of Plague

This is one of the easiest songs to get stuck in my head, and also one of my favorites. Plus, it reminds me of Count Vlad Tepes. Why? Because he was the Impaler.

File:Vlad Tepes 002.jpg

I'm willing to say this song is about him, although I'm probably wrong, as I am with "A New Game".

Because that one is about Freddy Krueger. According to whom, you ask?

Me.

Reminiscing

In light of my love for music, I'm starting a theme for the next 25 days. Everyday (excluding weekends) I will come up with a song that means something to me.

Day One: A Song From My Childhood

"How Do You Like Me Now?!" by Toby Keith

Believe it or not, but I used to be one of the BIGGEST country music fans (if you don't understand why, you must know, I was raised on a ranch. Around cowboys. Real ones. With horses, chaps, rodeo, and everything). That was before I was dragged into the dark abyss known as metal.

Toby Keith was always kind of a gag around our house when I was younger. We knew all his songs, and my little sister even knew "How Do You Like Me Now?!" before she knew her ABC's. It's one of those songs that comes on and I still know every word to.

For which I then get strange looks from fellow metalheads who are unaware of my colorful musical background.

Ah, country. Yeah, that brings back memories.
