Good Times

Happy National Candy Cane Day!

Unfortunately for me, my familia did not buy any this year. Sad day. But you guys will celebrate in my honor, right?

I got many a lovely thing for Christmas this year, including a ton of coffee. The one I'm most excited about?

Apple Caramel Pie. Doesn't that sound delicious???

I also got a digital recorder from my folks for my paranormal group, but due to some issues I don't know if I'll be able to use it... :'(

Since my sister asked for an Xbox, I inherited her Wii and got one of my favorite games to go along with it. It even came with a cd. Hooray for free music!!

Yet, now I'm hoping for the day my sister wants a different game console. That would mean I would then inherit this...

And we would all live happily ever after.

Yes. Indeed. I love CoD. I am awful at it, but 'tis fun.

What goodies did my droogies get? Do tell.

Almost That Time Again...

When I was younger, we had a shit ton of VHS tapes. Most of them were Bugs Bunny related, but we had a few Christmas themed ones too. This was my favorite holiday cartoon of them all.

Sadly, I lost it when my family decided to get rid of the VHS player in favor of DVDs, and all the VHS tapes went to the trash. Needless to say, I was not a happy camper that day. Thank God for YouTube, eh?

I can't really pinpoint the exact reason I absolutely love this cartoon. Maybe it's the song. Maybe it's the orphans and how they tug mercilessly at my few heart strings. Maybe it's the old man who slightly reminds of Robert Englund for some odd reason. All I know is I keep coming back to this every year.

Makes me feel all warm and cuddly inside, and all that jazz.

Now, off to prepare for a night of games, hot coco, family, friends, and possibly a few drinks somewhere along the way.

Have a fun and safe Christmas Eve, droogs.

My Cat. Every Christmas.

Always trying to ruin my tree.

First official day of winter! I'm doing good by wrapping presents and knitting. What is everyone else's solstice plans??

Self Given Goodies

My Christmas shopping is not done, presents are still waiting to be wrapped, and Christmas is only five days away. Plus my internet has been incredibly slow (which does eliminate some procrastination). BUT, I did get some goodies for myself that I feel I will quite enjoy this winter break.

The Orphanage. Picked this up in the $5 bin at Walmart. I've been meaning to see it, since I've discovered I'm a fan of Del Toro's work, but never had the chance or couldn't find it.

This.... oh.... this. I was so excited when I found this version of Sweeney Todd. It is one of my favorites. I was looking for the movie version with Johnny Depp for my sister's Christmas present and ended up finding this instead. I've seen it a few times before via YouTube, and am very happy to now have my own, physical copy.

I meant to see Priest when it came out in theaters, but was too busy at the time. Paul Bettany is one of my favorite actors to watch, and I much enjoyed his roles in The Da Vinci Code and Legion (both of which I own). Just one more vampire flick to add to the collection.

Christmas music! (As if I needed any more).

The view outside. Hoping it we get more for Christmas. It will the be the first time in several years we've gotten snow.

I Love You Guys

2000 views, and my blog isn't even a year old. Droogs, I never expected so much. You guys make me happy.

This calls for another GIF.

Here's to another 2000 more, eh?

After finals are over, I swear there will be more posts. Just have been a bit busy lately.

The Past Two Weeks of My Life

As a college student.... THIS ^^^^

I have been working on this philosophy paper for the past month and it's still not done. There is only so much I can say about the existence of God. I swear, every argument ever fought is in my little paper. Cosmological, teleological, anthropological, ontological... well, not the scientific argument, since it's not "philosophical" and all. Still. I have been to the library more times in these past two weeks than all my years combined. I have neglected other finals to work on this paper. I have stayed up until two in the morning working on this thing. Starbucks must love me by now.

All I can say, is that I cannot wait until the end of this week.

World Choral Day

Ah, choral music. The stuff that gets me through writing papers. Surprisingly good for my concentration too. Three more pages and I'm done.

Hilarity Ensues

Okay, so this isn't really Creepmas related, but it is hilarious.

Because we all know that's exactly how it went down.

Also, three cheers for National Cookie Day!!

Creepmas Tree

As my apartment is tiny and I have limited funds, my mother so kindly gave me a small little tree. Little did she know how it would be decorated.

I think it's adorable. I'm waiting to get little tiny present to put around the bottom too.

How is everyone else's Creepmas decroations going?

The Argument for Children Not to Believe in Santa Clause

I love Tales from the Crypt. It is probably one of my favorite television shows ever, even though it's not on anymore. So when I saw this video over on the official Creepmas blog, I was immediately reminded of the second episode of season one.

Here are all three parts, via the great YouTubes, for your enjoyment:
